The Dunder Mifflin staff head to Niagara Falls for Jim and Pam’s wedding, with the understanding that her pregnancy is a forbidden discussion topic, but Jim’s slip of the tongue prods Michael to attempt damage control.

Jim quickly learns the downside of management after he informs the staff that there’s not enough money for everyone to get a COLA raise, including Dwight trying to rally everyone against him. Pam pushes for cash instead of traditional wedding gifts.

Michael gets worried after David Wallace and Jim have a private meeting. Pam tries to get a headcount for the wedding. Darryl’s worker’s compensation claim makes Dwight suspicious.

After Michael learns from Stanley that the rumor he spread about him having an affair is based on fact, he makes up rumors about everyone else, hoping they’ll all be uncovered and disbelieved, but accidentally concocting a rumor that’s actually true in the process.
